She has got balls and she likes a challenge, but just as much she seeks for fun: Monica aka @thenourishmentninja is the backbone of a good adventure and we’ve been on quite a few together. When I asked her about her favourite equipment or clothing, she listed a hand full, which will all come to be presented. Today it’s her Berghaus Freeflow II, 25L rucksack:
“I didn’t buy this bag, my mum gave me my Christmas presents in it in 2008. I never gave it back because it is so great, and I’m kinda sure she said that I could keep it. Although I could be making that up to ease my conscience about stealing a bag. It has a great air vent so that’s super comfy and helps with sweaty back issues. The size is perfect for day adventures, climbing kit when going to the wall, and hand luggage holidays. I have used this bag so much over the years, and it is my go to day sack/small holiday luggage. It has side pockets as you’d expect, that are big enough for a decent sized water bottle. And the lid has pockets that are handy. It fits my body well and is super comfy to wear. I haven’t seen a bag with a similar airflow function to this one, so I have never replaced it. Anyway, it is still serving me well and it must be nearly 15 years old or something – it was not new when I acquired it.”
