Mona made me feel at ease immediately by starting gently and having a chat about what to get out of session and sharing simple hooks to work from eg focus on technical, physical, psychological aspects. Then applied it when watching me climbing like asking if it was fear or lack of strength that stopped me making a move and making me reflect that on that. Good structure to coaching not feeding to much info at once to process. Attention to detail. Relating to the climbers experience to make climber feel more confident. Positive encouragement choosing routes she could see I can do but which I wasn’t necessarily confident in before she encouraged me eg last overhang 6a and giving me time to apply learnings from other routes.
