I started climbing and rediscovered my love for nature when my kids grew older. As most good things do, it happened by chance when I took my younger son to a local bouldering wall. Having always been bored of gyms and any repetitive exercise, I enjoyed the playful way, climbing lets you progress, and soon wanted to get out on the real rocks. Thanks to Alex Stone Adventures I got introduced to both sport and trad climbing, and the whole mountain world as well!

Challenging myself both physically and mentally paved the way to set free a new me: I qualified as Climbing Wall Instructor, Climbing Wall Development Instructor, Foundation Coach, Rock Climbing Instructor and Countryside Leader and quit my job to become a full time climbing instructor in schools, youth centres, commercial walls and the outdoors.

I had worked before in social care with adults with learning disabilities and I am passionate about inclusion and social justice. I am committed to making the outdoor world more accessible and inclusive and working with underrepresented communities and individuals is what I enjoy most.

I am also part of the South London based Black Lizard – Climbing and Mountaineering Club, where we – beside other club activities – facilitate accessible climbing activities for children with disabilities.
